Author's note to
hardcore TV fans.
Fan fiction has become a serious pursuit to some writers, and that's OK,
but Dark Boswell is a satire.
Satire is, by definition, a send-up or parody. It's supposed to be all
in fun and rather silly. Dark Boswell is just that and nothing more. The
names have been changed to make it sillier.
If you're a fan who gets offended when someone knocks Buffy or Angel or
Max and Liz or Scully and Mulder, you might not like Dark Boswell.
You might find Dark Boswell impertinent.
Here's a webring
link to more serious fan fiction sites. [Get a life, etc.]
Dark Boswell was born in 2000 when James Cameron sold Dark Angel to Fox
Network. As a fan of Buffy and Angel, I regarded Dark Angel as an
interloper. I thought it would be a giggle to cast her as the Big Bad in
a crossover universe with all of my favorite shows mixed together.
Turned out that Dark Angel wasn't much of a threat.
New "episodes" of Dark Boswell keep popping up as Dark
Boswell's crossover attack continues to absorb TV series, new and old.
They are added to the eBook as they appear. The
current revision date 3/2006 includes Dark Boswell VIII and there's
always a new episode brewing.
So, enjoy (or not), and never be afraid to giggle.
